Things that caught my eye

I worship at the alter of Shelly Laurenston

Big Bad Beast (Pride, #6)

I recently received Big Bad Beasts by Shelly Laurenston for review. When I announced on Goodreads I was preparing to read it I was told I HAD to read the others first. So I got  The Mane Event.  My lord…I have never laughed so hard in my life. Ms. Laurenston has a gift that allows for outrageous characters, over the top plotlines, and the snarkest lines ever to come together and keep you entertained.

I read her entire back list over the weekend and all I can say is buy her series NOW!

Louis Vuitton is looking to SCORE

Angelina-Jolie-Filmography

According to  E! Online, which previously reported accurate rumors about Blake Lively landing a Chanel campaign, Angelina Jolie has been cast for a Vuitton campaign. Whether this would be the fall 2011 campaign or something else is still unclear. Louis Vuitton declined to comment on the story, but sources tell E! that Angelina is getting $10 million for the deal.

Yea, ‘cause she really needs the money. 0_o

Johnny Weir is hookin’ off the ice

National figure skating champion and U.S. Olympian Johnny Weir is gliding into the fashion fray. He’s launching a Little Black Dress collection for spring exclusively on eDressMe.com. The dresses, which will be available April 30, are being unveiled at the the second annual “Ice Dreams” skating show in Bensenville,IL. Each dress from the collection will be modeled during the show. Prices of the dresses range from $198 to $298.
“The level of design is complemented by my understanding of a woman’s body, and my knack to refine the classic Little Black Dress with fanciful embellishments like feathers and sparkles,” said Weir.

All I find is trash!

This photo provided by Austria's federal conservation ...

Why is it always the ones who are never looking? I have scoured many a beach and parking lot trying to discover lost treasures and all I’ve found is old pop tops, stupid belt buckles, and a couple of pennies. *sigh* I couldn’t fill a mason jar with my “finds” over 5 years. Yet this man in in Austria  decided to till for a garden and discovers buried treasure. SERIOUS buried treasure.

Hundreds of pieces of centuries-old jewelry and other precious objects that Austrian authorities described as a fairy-tale find.

Austria's department in charge of national antiquities said the trove consists of more than 200 rings, brooches, ornate belt buckles, gold-plated silver plates and other pieces or fragments, many encrusted with pearls, fossilized coral and other ornaments. It says the objects are about 650 years old.

Guess I’m lugging back out the old metal detector. I feel lucky!

I’m not a huge romper fan. In fact, I’ve made fun of those wearing them over the years. But these…these I could actually wear.

LOL, <3 Shelly Laurenston - yay for another fan!!!

I never find anything good either - that find is pretty cool.

Not a fan of rompers unless they're on children :)

I agree Shelly Laurenston is hugely funny. I still remember reading her books on a bus trip and cackling wildly - by the end of the trip I'm sure the other passengers thought I was crazy.
