Lorane 39 Leopard Peep Toe Pump
At a whopping price difference of $900 for the Louboutin’s versus $29 for the Lorane’s I’m a very happy camper right now.

This is my newest DIY project. My mom picked this up for me at a thrift store for about $10 bucks. The wicker is in good condition, it’s just cosmetically damaged. I plan to sand off the loose paint and then white wash in a pale pink. Then wipe it off so the white shows through and the pale pink only adheres to the wicker underneath.

This weekend I jumped head first into Lorelei James by reading numbers 10 and 11 in her Rough Riders series.

Lord have mercy. Hot alpha cowboys, bold take no crap cowgirls and some seriously hot bed play. I’m slowly working my way backwords through her backlist. :)

Anti-suicide Trevor Project to honor Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe

For the past couple of years, the "Harry Potter" star has been doing his part to make that a reality with his work with the Trevor Project, the leading organization for suicide prevention efforts among gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered youths.

For his contribution, Radcliffe is being honored with the organization's Hero Award at a ceremony in New York in June.

WTH Wednesday-Oh yea, I Went There

I have always been a Hello Kitty fan though as I got older my need to have drastically declined. A friend of mine sent me to this site and now Hello Kitty officially freaks me out. Thanks Kelly. You rock. Not. See for yourself.

I have never had this particular problem but this product had me sitting on my hands and ducting taping my mouth shut because it begs, just begs, for something to be said. Me & hubs were out doing each other left and right last night but since this is a nice blog….you’ll have to think of them yourself.

Now, I’m not making fun of anyone’s religious beliefs or ideas, but how can they know the exact date when the world will end? The article, which you can find here, claims this group’s leader calculated the date. How do we know his calculations are correct? Maybe his calculator was off. Maybe he carried the 2 instead of the 1. What if it ends May 20th, 2011? According to the gospel of Matthew, no one will know for sure when the end of days will come.
Personally I’m going to live dangerously and think of May 21st as just another crappy day of the month.

Alex Ritman wrote an interesting article for The National recently claiming that, “Reading slushy romance novels = not cool. Reading slushy romance novels via a Kindle = still not cool, but nobody can tell.”
Apparently, I read slushy romance novels on my e reader because I don’t want anyone to know what I’m reading. I’m in shameful denial.
Ummmmm…no. I read them on my e reader for many different reasons. Sometimes they are only published in digital form. Sometimes I can get it for free in digital but would have to pay $6.99 for it in print. Sometimes I want that book NOW and not in a few hours or days. I also don’t just read slushy romances on the old shame hiding e reader either. Nope. Sometimes I hide in shame that I read slutty sci-fi, fantastical fantasy, arse kicking urban fantasy, intriguing political essays, tear jerker classics, and awesome knitting books.
I know what your thinking, “OMG…knitting books? You shameful HUSSY!" It’s a problem but I’m dealing with it.
Tell you what Mr. Ritman. Don’t worry about what’s on my e reader and I won’t worry about what’s on yours. ;)

Things That Caught My Eye

When the news hit the stands that Lanvin and H&M were collaborating, SQUEEEES were heard around the world.

We have heard here that the full collection will feature 30 pieces and 15 accessories for woman, and 25 pieces and 10 accessories for men which will be released in November. H&M here I come!!!
In traditional Lanvin style-the frocks, big sunglasses and blown out hair-I would have never guessed these weren’t true Lanvin couture ads.

Taylor Swift songs' new hidden messages Taylor Swift seems to be speaking in code on her new album Speak Now. I admit, I first laughed when I heard the song, “Dear John” was about John Mayer. But as I read more of the article I got to thinking that 1. this girl has had a lot of relationships. and 2. is it really good to be publically sharing all your private thoughts like this? I can’t help but think this will bite her in the butt later in life.

I spy with my little eye

Potter Dress                                       McQueen Dress

French designer Jany Terimie outfitted the characters in the final Harry Potter movie, including a scene in which bride Fleur Delacour dances with Bill Weasley wearing a frothy organza dress with two phoenixes. Jamy Terimie is cited as saying. “Fleur’s dress is made in organza and decorated with a pair of phoenixes that face one another on the bodice and form the silhouette of a heart. I chose the phoenix because, like love, it is eternal.”

What’s the prob you ask? Well, the Harry Potter dress looks remarkably like a dress from Alexander McQueen's iconic fall '08 collection. And there are many hard core McQueen fans that are going to notice that Jemy didn’t give credit where credit is do. I’ll let you be the judge, but this fashionista thinks that there was more then “magic” going on here.
