Tempting Tuesday-Facinators

Accessories are the mainstay of fashion and right now the top trend of accessories are Facinators. Fascinators have exploded in popularity since the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

A fascinator is a delicate, fanciful head decoration worn mostly by women. A fascinator may be worn instead of a hat on occasions where hats were traditionally worn—such as weddings—or as an evening accessory, when it may be called a cocktail hat. It is generally worn with fairly formal attire.

Made from any and all items, it seems whimsical is the mainstay of a proper facinator. Feathers, lace, netting, flowers, ect…the list is endless. Many celebrities have gone this route as an alternative to hats or the never ending headband.

I’ve never been a huge hat or any kind of head decor type of girl but these have caught my eye. A wonderful way to show off your own unique style and flare.

A wonderful blog that I read religiously because I’m in total awe of crafty people(most non crafty peeps are) is The Magic Bean. She has a whole page devoted to making your very own Facinators.

I’ve decided to make this one
