WTH Wednesday…finding fault everywhere today

The Situation is apparently not popular with everyone. Abercrombie & Fitch has asked, nay, begged the young brash star of the hit reality series, The Jersey Shores, to stop wearing their clothing. They even offered to pay him. Full story here.

Could Arnold Schwarzenegger be any bigger a douche?

Why yes…yes he can.

French designer Jours Après Lunes apparently thinks that little girls have a need to wear sexy lingerie and be in full make up while lounging around the house. Created by Sophia Morin this is, “the first designer brand dedicated to ‘loungerie' for children and teenagers, comprised of loungewear and lingerie to be worn over and under, inside and outside."

Uh huh.

Now, I don’t have a problem with the clothing itself. Most of these items show no more or less then a  bikini’s show. What I have a problem with the risque and lolita like poses used for this ad. Young girls wearing tousled “just got out of bed” hair and make up applied with the skill of a clique counter saleswoman. Ewww.

There is NO reason to portray a child as a sex object. None.

Coco Chanel…the Mata Hari of the fashion world? So claims a new book, Sleeping with the Enemy: Coco Chanel's Secret War. Written by Hal Vaughan, he claims that Sleeping with the Enemy is the fruit of more than four years of intense labor born out of an accidental find in France's national archives. While allegations have always shadowed Coco and her empire, Mr. Vaughan claims that his research goes well beyond those previous allegations, citing as evidence documents gathered from archives around the world. He claims that not only was Ms. Chanel a German spy but also was anti semitic. The book, published in the U.S. on Tuesday by Knopf, has ruffled feathers in France, where Chanel is widely regarded as it’s crowning jewel.
