Fashion Trends For This Fall/Winter 2010
This is the year of the coat according to Trendstop.
Classic Aviator
The classic aviator shearling jacket becomes one of the biggest must have shapes of the season. Replacing the leather bomber as the cool cover up of choice, the more reference to traditional heritage details the better. You can contemporize the style with biker zips and multi buckles. Key colors are chocolate brown and tan with natural shearling.
School Girl Duffle
A true classic, the schoolgirl duffle coat continues to be a staple outerwear piece for winter. Mid-thigh length, traditional toggle fastenings with rope detailing in contrast color add a heritage feel to the shape. Heavy wools in neutrals look authentic while primary brights modernise the style.
Pared-down Varsity
Come out and join the team in these cheery favorites. Cut short and slim in mixes of nylon and wool. Stripped down to essentials like striped or tipped ribbing at waist, cuff and collar, contrast sleeves, and discreet logos. Contrast snaps, zips and welt pockets add interest.

Stimulation Fridays
Selling clothing online is a thankless and tiring job. If you don't truly love clothing then your in the wrong line of work.
That being said...I often visit Esty when my brain is on overload and I want visual stimulation.
Get your mind out of the gutter. I said VISUAL.
I have decided to make today Stimulation Fridays.
I will present one store that offers, what I feel, is some SERIOUS visual stimulation.
One of my fav shops is Black Cat Mima.
It is run by a friend of mine that also sells on ebay.
She is so talented. She often describes on facebook what and how she's doing her crafts and it blows my mind.
She adds a little glue and she has the makings of an heirloom.
If I did that I'd have a kindergarten project that the teacher would place on the wall near the bathroom.

What's New in Gigi's Consignment Closet
Only 38 days till Christmas and with so much to do...why not take a minute to relax and do some stress free shopping in my closet.
Here are some new lovely's added just for you.
Stone Mountain has been a premier maker of fine leather handbags since 1978.
This soft as butter gray leather hobo bag is a classic and versatile addition to your wardrobe.
I have always been a fan of the tight sexy bombshell pin up cardi's of the 50's & 60's.
This lovely item comes for the 70's but is reminiscent of the 60's Mansfield, Monroe era.
Soft and fuzzy blending of lambswool & angora. Gathered shoulders add a distinct feminine appeal.
My formative years were spent in the 80's. I have always said I would NEVER wear those fashions again unless drugged and out of my mind. lol
But this London Fog trench is beginning to change my mind.
I haven't seen one like this ever.
A black/white houndstooth wool twill shell. Zip out wool blend lining.
Caped, belted, shawl collar, long, huge 80s shoulder pads... it has it all.
