Well, since you asked…the battle of the toys

VS

T-Is that a new e reader?

Me-Yup. The Nook. It’s 3G and WiFi.  *petting my precious*

T-Did your other e reader die?

Me-Nope

T-Then why did you buy a new e reader?

Me-I didn’t. Mom got it for me as an early birthday present.

T- But why a new e reader?

Me-Because. It. Is. Cool.

T-You really have to many toys.

Me-I don’t want to hear any shite from someone who owns 26 hammers. What the heck do you need with 26 hammers?

T-I use those hammers. Each one has a specific job.

Me-Ok. *rolling my eyes* What about the 146 pairs of pliers? The 900 screwdrivers? 4 skill saws? 2 tile cutters? 4 brad guns? Do you use all those to?

T-Yes.

Me-When?

T-When I’m doing important manly stuff.

Me-Shut up. *laughing*

T-You shut up.

T-So. What are you going to do with the other e reader?

Me-Give it to kid or offer up as giveaway on blog.

T-You need to sell it.

Me-Why.

T-To pay for all your toys.

Me-Are you going to sell some of your hammers?

T-*gasp* NO WAY!!!

Me-Then shut up.

I LOVE my nook. It was actually my husband's idea to get it and he chipped in his $50 Best Buy gift card to help me buy it! It's one of the best gifts I've ever gotten (right after the tiVo my Mother-in-Law got me 7 or 8 years ago.)

Love that little banter with the hubs. Ain't it the truth though? I have a nook. I love it. The only thing that I find frustrating is that not all books are available-especially in a series. You might have book 1 and then book 3 but book 2 is not d/l-able for nook. I've experienced this many time. I had to buy the .pdf file from the publisher and then side load it into documents. Not a big deal, but that extra step can be frustrating. The "lend" feature is neat too!!! Did you get the color one?

Jen-I am loving it. But it needs a cover because I have grimy little fingers. :)

Lisa- No, not the color. I haven't even loaded anything on it yet. *GASP* I'm still admiring it. :)

I have a Nook & a Kindle (I practice gluttony, only on e-readers though). I justify having both because not all e-books are create equal...

Good luck with trying to give away your other one...LOL

Note: keep cleaning cloth close by - you will be wiping the touch screen constantly..
