Saturday Stimulation-Lets Hear it for Handbags

I am a handbag ho. Srsly. I adore handbags. I own over 60 in every color and style. I only use about 3, but that is neither here nor there.  I cannot resist the siren’s call of a new handbag. Seeing them in a boutique, leather glistening in the sun streaming through the windows…I am helplessly count in their snare.
Here are a few that have caught my attention and will be mine once I find away to pay for them. :)

Crazy Trends For Spring/Summer 2010

I've been seeing some crazy trends for this Spring/Summer 2010. Let me know what you think of what the fashion world thinks we will wear in the name of fashion. Sock With Sandals Photo: AFP/ REX Socks featured in the spring/summer 2010 collections of Christian Dior (left) and Marni. Centre: Alexa Chung, as always, gets it right. Don't try this if your over 30. Like pigtails...this is a young woman's game. PROS: Great camo for cankles. CONS: Its socks with shoes. Overalls Other than cleaning fish, I can’t think of a single event I would wear these to with a straight face. PROS: Your top is attached to your pants CONS: Your wearing OVERALLS for God's sake **My husband says only 60 yr old men who want easy "scratching" access wear overalls.** Bold Makeup This year the make up companies are telling you to go bold and brighten up. Unless your name is Bambi and your the headliner at the Platinum Gentlemens Club then you'll just look stupid. PROS: Everyone will notice you CONS: You may get attention you don't want. Like job offers from the Platinum Gentlemens Club Feather Skirts Whats next? Turtle shells for hats? Somehow I can't justify paying $600 for a skirt that sheds more than my dog and has to be "puffed" up after you sit down in it. PROS: You'll be the only one to own one because nobody else will pay that much for so little CONS: You look like you strapped a sheepdog around your waist. Leather Shorts Leather + summer=OUCH! While Alexander Wang made these look uber hot on the runway, that is a really where they need to stay. PROS: They look really cool on someone else. CONS: Pulling hot sticky leather off your butt won't look so cool. Peep Toe Sneakers I really can't think of anything to say about these. Its an utter #SHOEFAIL PROS: Great for stinky feet. CONS: Do I really need to point out the cons of this idea? So tell me...what do you think of this years crop of crazy trends?

What do you get when you take some Sperry Top-Siders and add a Tucker Blair belt? The ULTIMATE preppy collaboration. Photo: tuckerblair.com, sperrytopsider.com, Getty Images Rumor abound say that Sperry will be collaborating with Tucker Blair to make, ummm, needlepoint deck shoes? Deck shoes embroidered on to belts and headbands? I don't know. But I'm really jonsing to see who will be wearing it.

Emilie de Ravin wore this Oscar de la Renta dress to the premiere of Remember Me in London. She paired it with Brian Atwood studded pumps and wore her hair in a loose updo.

Photo: www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com I love Michelle Obama. She has an innate fashion sense that rivals Jackie O. I'm really impressed with the fact that she wears J Crew. Call me plebeian but I can't help it. The fact she can pull off that much style using mid level mall brands tells me there is hope for me. :) AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite But THIS ^^ did not impress me. What happened? Now the saddest story of the week. Sandra Bullock and Jesse James split. What the hell were you thinking Jesse? Here you have the most beautiful and sweetest wife and you cheat on her with this... Eww. And no, it's not the tattoos. Its the fact she slept with a married man then told her story to the tune of $30,000. 'Cause she luuuuvvvssss him. What really irks me is the number of people coming on to defend Ms. Skank by saying how nice she is. Well peeps, nice people don't sleep with married people who aren't married to them. Nice people don't humiliate an entire family by telling their story to a cheap rag for $30,000. Even his dog ran away. from the shame of it all. I wonder if Jesse James realizes just what he has lost? Marrying Bullock propelled him into an elite Hollywood station. Nothing short of alien body snatching could have gotten him there any other way. Now he is one of America's most hated men. I'll bet Tiger's LOVING this. I'm thinking yes. If not now he will very soon.
