Tempting Tuesday-H&M goes green in style

H&M‘s 2012 eco friendly conscious collection hit the stores April 12th proving that style and being green can go fashionably hand in hand. Oscar nominees Michelle Williams and Viola Davishave already worn dresses from the collection in various red carpet appearances.

The collection includes a number of darling floor-length gowns in trendy silhouettes, with splashes of neon and floral prints; all made with sustainable materials.

Tempting Tuesday-the caviar manicure

The newest nail trend to hit the scene is the caviar manicure.

Though it was first spotted on the runways at Cushnie et Ochs' fall '11 show, we're only to try it out ourselves with Ciaté's new DIY kits, available at Sephora sometime this month. I’m really looking forward to trying this out but I have to admit, I’m wondering how well the beads stay on and how hard are they to get off.

Has Coach finally bid adieu to the monogram look?

We can only hope. I have never made any bones about the fact that monogram bags especially in pastels, is tres tacky. (This of course doesn’t include my LV) It looks like Coach has finally listened.

The new look at Coach is focuses on classic and streamlined in bold elegant colors -leaving behind the tacky monogram look that has prevailed for the last 10 years.

The new leather bags, accessories, shoes, jewelry, eyewear, and outerwear mark a conscientious move forward, yet backward, as Coach tries to reclaim a more fashionable cliental by bringing back what first made them so popular.

While the silhouettes might be cleaner, the colors aren't: In bright oranges, purples, turquoises, and yellows, the new collection is definitely not your 2011 Coach camels, pastel pinks, or browns. The price-points have gotten an upgrade as well, with bags now selling between $178 to $1,000 and beyond.

 

Tempting Tuesday: Agyness Deyn+Doc Martens=LOOOOVE!!!

Agyness Deyn, the Lancashire top model recently turned actress, is now adding 'designer' to her resume, with a limited-edition collaborative collection for Dr. Martens.

Featuring shoes, clothing and accessories, the line will be the result of a long relationship between the model and the brand, with 29-year-old Deyn having bought her first pair of Doc Martens when she was 13 years old and then starring in the brand's past two campaigns.

"The brand is a great fit for me, as it stands for strong character and being able to shape your own personal identity," Deyn told WWD .

The full limited edition Agyness Deyn for Dr. Martens collaboration will be in stores this Fall.

Give a bouquet of love.

Skip overpriced store-bought bouquets, and follow these simple steps to personalize a valentine nosegay. Gather two or three stems in your hand (compact blooms like roses and ranunculus work best); add flowers one by one until you reach the size you want. Wrap a rubber band around the stems to hold — though not crush — them; trim stems. Tie with a ribbon, wrapping it completely around stems, then doubling back to tie a bow. The larger the bouquet, the wider the ribbon should be; usually 1 to 2 1/2 inches works best.
